I. Opening Annoucements​​

• Remember to email the editor link to your hype presentation on the Wednesday before at noon! Also note that there is no make-up for the Hype presentations.​
• If you use Canva, make sure you use Canva PREMIUM (there are NO ads). You can create an account using your TCU email. Sign in with SSO when prompted and a window will appear reading “WELCOME TCU STUDENT.” If there is a problem and you don’t see that you can contact IT and they can walk you thru it. [Thank you, Melinda, for these directions.]

III. Classroom Workshop Time:
​Collaborative Interactive Essay (Project #2)

The samples below are meant as inspiration. You do not have to copy these examples, but these are the least of what you must do in this project.

FIRST GROUP MEETING:

1. Choose a facilitator first; facilitators should then help group decide on other leadership roles.
2. Everyone in the group should chime in on if/how they understand the project and the template.
3. Cover designers should have a conversation with the group on the title of the project (both sides of the colon) and the overall design.
4. Facilitators should decide and discuss topics and order of topics (fill in the template).
5. Copy-righters need to lead a discussion of when they can proofread.
6. Facilitators should plan on reporting back to the class with all updates and ask questions (and also give updates on Thursday).

LAST GROUP MEETINGS

Before we leave: facilitators need to a) give us the title of the project, b) explain the look/visual package that ties all of the slides together.

1. Whole Class Review: How to on transitions (already loaded but you can choose something else)
2. Whole Class Review: How to on animations (all your slides must have images, animations, video/audio) & arrange forward&backward
3. Whole Class Discussion: can you finish today or will you need until 8am Monday morning?
4. Facilitators: Make sure no one is duplicating the same quotes, videos, etc
5. Facilitators: Have the group decide on overall transitions (remember: transitions are not the same as animations)
6. Cover Designers: Make sure the look/visual package of your interactive essay makes all of the slides cohesive; make sure the FULL academic title has been decided
7. Copy-righters: Find out when you can edit
