I. House-keeping/Class-keeping​​
  • If you need/want another hardcopy of the syllabus, please ask. Get back in the habit of following your syllabus for each class.
  • Project #3 is due Tuesday in class. Be prepared to share this with colleagues in the room.
  • The next attendance installment will be at end of course. Folx who fully participate in class get extra credit.​

  • Reminder about CAs (classroom activities): These cannot be redone or receive extension, as indicated on google form, syllabus, etc.  You have to make up those points w/ extra credit elsewhere.
  • Missed Class: If you miss class, always go to website--- funkdafied.org (under "hip hop rhetorics," you will see "classroom cyphers," then look for the date you need).  It's advising/dissertation season and I won't have time to answer emails about what you missed in class. The website already shows you.

NOTE: Project #3 requires that you include lyrics and a title.  If your title is the name of a song, it must be in quotation marks.  Lyrics must also be in quotation marks and the name(s) of artist(s) must be clearly indicated.
TASKS: Find lyrics/bars and southern themes/styles/pride that you feel really hits the mark of SOUTHERN HIP HOP.  Be ready to say how and why.
