this week's assignment

​Log-in to your digication webpage.  You will see your group’s website there.  You have a mainpage--- the page with your name on it.  Click that and begin typing in that page.
 
Start writing on the mainpage of your ePortfolio.  In at least 600 words (this is reading response #13), discuss the following about your album:
  1. How do you PERSONALLY connect to this album?  Why?  Try to be as creative here as possible.  Tell a story.  Evoke a powerful image.  You could describe a powerful memory that the album takes you back to.  Or, you could describe a moment in your life--- past or present--- where the album's music has moved you in some way.
  2. Explain why this album is worthy of critical reflection in terms of its use of African American language and/or its place in Black culture.
At the end of your essay, list 4 songs from your album that you would like to focus on.  When you come to the next class, you and your colleagues will divide up all of the songs/segments and cover the entire album with your website/ePortfolio.  You do not need to add the multimedia elements to your page now but you will at the very end!
 
By Sunday, November 27 at midnight, you need to post your essay.  We have Thanksgiving break so there are no posting requirements on Friday.  There are no commenting requirements this week.

our next class

​Come to the computer lab in L2.72.06.  We have the lab during classtime and for community hour (CH).  If you need more time, you can work in the lab during the CH. You will work with your group today on your archive.  For today’s class, we work to accomplish two tasks:
  1. Divide up the album so that everyone covers an equal part
  2. Make sure you understand what your specific group role is and pay attention to the attending demo in the lab
Please remember that NONE of the demos will be repeated for you.  You are also not allowed to ask your group members to teach you what to do or how to do your sections because you decided to stay at home.  Group members will be penalized for aiding and abetting someone else’s triflin-ness like that.
