There are two ways to use and read this site. First, the site collects research and theory related to classrooms, African American language/ histories, and education. This research is meant as the foundation for the courses that are taught here--- not simply the content of these courses, but the purposes and formats of these classes. Second, the site archives young scholars' interpretations and collections of central, critical sites of knowledge production in the shaping of black vernacular cultures today. To see how young scholars are introduced to the courses on the site, see the section called: "Put Some Stank on It."
